We are excited to announce the 16th annual American Cancer Society Seattle Hope Gala on Saturday, September 21 at the Westin Seattle. The event promises top wines, cocktails, fine dining, unique auction packages, live music, and dancing. More than 400 business and community leaders will come together to Light the Path of Hope for patients and families fighting cancer.
The American Cancer Society is working to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now that is a reason to celebrate!
So follow the path that leads to Hope Gala and join us for a fun and inspiring night celebrating the advances made in cancer treatment and prevention programs, while raising funds to directly support life-saving research nationwide. Together, we can Light the Path of Hope for everyone.
Since 1946, the American Cancer Society has supported researchers at pivotal points in their career – to give them the support they need to keep great research going or to take their ideas from dream to reality. The American Cancer Society is proud to have helped more than 24,000 investigators make important advances in prevention, early detection, treatment, and care for those with cancer. In fact, 50 of those investigators have gone on to win the Nobel Prize, considered the highest accolade any scientist can receive. As the largest private not-for-profit, non-governmental funder of cancer research in the US, the American Cancer Society has played a role in many of the major cancer research breakthroughs of the last century.
